From Users (friends, families, hangouts):

• Name and email address (during sign-up or social login)
• Profile picture (if you sign up using Google)
• City-level location (to show nearby Ideas and listings)
• Session information (to keep you logged in)
• Push notification tokens (to send you invites, poll updates, reminders)
• Poll responses, wishlists, votes, and other activity inside the app

From Business Owners:

• Business name and contact details
• Information submitted for listing approval
• Transaction details for paid listings (payments are processed securely by Razorpay; we do not store bank account or card details)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Weqnd app
• Show relevant Ideas, polls, and hangout options based on your city
• Enable social features like voting and sharing within your hangouts
• Display your profile name and picture to friends or hangout members
• Process and track business listings and related payments
• Send notifications for hangouts, polls, and updates
• Maintain security and prevent fraud

3. Sharing of Information

• With Hangout Members: Votes, profile name, and profile picture may be visible to other invited members in your hangouts
• With Service Providers: We rely on trusted third-party providers for hosting, storage, and notifications. These providers help us operate Weqnd but do not have the right to use your data for unrelated purposes
• With Razorpay: Payment details are collected and processed securely by Razorpay. We store only transaction records for tracking purposes
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

4. Data Retention

• User data (name, email, profile picture, polls, wishlists, votes, etc.) is deleted permanently if you delete your account
• Transaction records related to businesses may be retained as required for accounting, legal, or compliance purposes

5. Your Choices & Rights

• Account Control: You can delete your account anytime through the in-app option, which erases your personal data
• Notifications: You can manage push notification preferences through your device settings
• Corrections: You can edit your profile details in the app

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Weqnd is designed for a general audience and not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that such information has been provided to us, we will take the necessary steps — including removal of the data and other precautionary actions — to protect user privacy.

8. International Use

Weqnd may be accessed by users outside India. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to our servers in India and other locations where our service providers are based.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of Weqnd after changes means you accept the updated policy.
